Meet Kyle Wilmoth

January 2019 Bass IQ Angler of the Month

This month we focus on the expanded profile feature in the Bass IQ App and how high school anglers can use it to get noticed.

Our January AOTM is Kyle Wilmoth, Freshman angler at Central Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.  Kyle is coached by Andy Perry, and his parents are Steve and Michelle Wilmoth.

Like many dedicated high school anglers, Kyle was introduced to bass fishing at a young age.  His dad Steve says, “we used to have a crib that we would put on the deck of the boat when we went to the lake.  Kyle has been fishing all his life.”

Kyle dreams of becoming a touring pro and he also has an interest in aerospace design.  He is a very active high-schooler and fishes every tournament he can while keeping his grades in check, promoting his team and sponsors, and still finding time to volunteer.

Kyle has been a user of the Bass IQ High School Fishing App since it was launched, and he was one of the first to add detailed profile data to his user account once the expanded profile fields were added.  Creating a clear and comprehensive profile that is kept up-to-date enhances your visibility to college coaches and others in the bass fishing industry (including your peers).  It’s a great way to learn the value of a “fishing resume” and connect you with your team and sponsors in a public way.

Have a look at Kyle’s Bass IQ App profile (below), and you’ll see what we consider to be a great example of how to use this valuable tool to promote yourself, your team and your sponsors.
