Bass IQ was founded in 2017 by Tommy and Karen Hall with the mission of connecting high school anglers and high school fishing teams with the resources they need to start and grow their programs – and take their fishing to the next level.
Tommy has been a tournament angler for over thirty years, fishing many local, state and regional trails. He helped to start one of the first high school fishing programs in Kentucky, and has 4 years experience as a college fishing coach.
Karen fished her first bass tournament over 14 years ago, and went on to become the first woman on the KY Bass Federation State Team in 2008. She is an emergency room nurse by trade, and a seasoned business owner with a special interest in marketing.
Tommy and Karen are passionate about bass fishing, and are excited to work with high school programs and a host of national partners across the US! Their goal is to support, educate and promote the most wholesome and exciting sport on the planet – BASS FISHING.
A first in the industry, the Bass IQ High School Fishing app was launched in the fall of 2018. The app platform allows users to connect and communicate with each other inside the app using a host of features. Users can post their fishing photos, team information, tournament invites and info, and other information of interest to the high school fishing population across the USA. News from Bass IQ and their partners/affiliates/sponsors is also available on the newsfeed, and LiveFeed capability is also being added soon. Other neat app features include the ability to “like” and “share” content from the app, adding friends and teammates to your network allowing in-app convos and communication, and in-app hashtags that allow you to promote yourself and your team. A college fishing section, along with enhanced profiles and more are coming soon to the app. The app is FREE for all users. Anyone involved with or interested in high school or college fishing in the US is encouraged to download and actively use the Bass IQ High School Fishing app.
Coaches and parents are encouraged to join the Bass IQ mailing list – to stay informed of high school fishing resources as they are added to the website. Helpful content will be added regularly.
The Bass IQ High School Fishing app is where most of the Bass IQ activity will be, but the Bass IQ website is where information and articles will land for permanent reference.
